The primary goal of our courses is to teach music production and the art of finishing tracks to a club and release ready standard. There are no fillers, just high quality, concise, relevant information.
7. How will the course it be tailored to my genre and level of experience?
There are around 12.5 hours of HD tutorials to watch online covering all aspects of production. Your projects, feedback videos and 1-2-1 sessions will all be aimed purely at your style of music with tips and techniques dedicated to helping you achieve the sound you want. At the start of the course we create an in depth analysis of one of your favourite tracks that you would like your productions to be similar to. The analysis helps us to understand arrangement techniques, the elements that make these tracks, modulation, layering, frequency distribution – essentially everything that makes the genre tick. Every project after this involves us building a track from start to finish using the analysed track as a reference to ensure we capture the same vibe and style. To clarify it is your own unique track we build and not a copy. During the course you will improve your skills in writing the genre of your choice.
8. Will I be making my own track or copying one designed for the course?
Students make their own unique track during all 3 online courses. You will leave the course with finished club and release quality track ready to play out or send to a label.
9. How long will I need to spend on the course each week?
We recommend 20 hours of study time per week and this includes watching the tutorials several times to absorb the information, taking part in your 1-2-1 tutor lesson and completing and uploading your project.
10. I am planning to go on holiday, is it possible to freeze the course?
Yes absolutely. Any holidays can be agreed at the beginning of the course and added to your schedule. The course will resume as normal when you return.
11. I have a busy schedule, can I take more than 8 weeks to sit the course?
At the very start of the course you can choose to take it over 16 weeks instead of 8.
12. Can I download the tutorial videos?
The tutorials stream in HD directly from the website. All students receive access to the video library for an entire year so they can revise and practice the techniques and constantly improve their abilities.
13. How does the one to one online tutor lesson work?
The online lesson is a great opportunity for the student to ask any questions they have about their project, the tutorials, other tracks they are making or any production related questions they have. This is held on Skype.
14. After this course, are there any other lessons I can take with Quantize?
